What this is

SelectFromData (selectfromdata.com), operated by Ravizen (Belgium), is a learning platform: you practice SQL and data work on simulated consulting engagements. The clients, companies, and datasets in the product are fictional, built to behave like real ones. Ranks and grades measure your practice here; they are not certifications, and we make no promises about jobs, interview outcomes, or income.

Your account

Free accounts exist to save your progress. Keep your password to yourself, use one account per person, and don't abuse the platform (scraping the content library, attacking the service, or reselling access). We can close accounts that do.

The free tier and Pro

The free tier is genuinely free: the beginner courses and the first client's engagements, no card required. Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) handled by Stripe, with Link as the seller of record — their terms apply to the purchase itself. Pro unlocks immediately after payment when you sign in with the same email you paid with.

Cancelling: you can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. Manage your subscription via the receipt and renewal emails from Link, or mail hello@selectfromdata.com and we'll sort it out with you directly.

Content and code

The courses, cases, and drills are our work; they're for your personal learning, not for republishing. The SQL you write is yours. The platform is provided as-is — we work hard to keep it accurate and available, but a learning platform is not a warranty-backed production service.
